Peter Lane writes: Carved "Waves". This bowl was thrown from 1149 (HF) Craft Porcelain body and carved when leather-hard. Selectively sprayed with "Jet Black" Amaco velvet underglaze colour and wiped off to emphasise the carving. The crackle glaze is a simple one made up from 85 parts by weight of Cornish Stone and 15 parts Whiting, fired to 1280°C in an electric kiln. Sold from an exhibition at Artterre Galerie, Eefde, Holland, 1999.
