Normally there is a "trade-off" between whiteness and plasticity. With this body we offer an excellent white earthenware that fires an excellent white and is also every plastic. Can be thrown and modelled. Also matures much lower than many white bodies to allow glaze fit at the trandtional earthenware temperature of 1100°C.

Fired Colour - White to off-white. Earthstone Original has been developed as a professional quality white clay with a wide maturing range and a broad range of applications. It is extremely resistant to warping, cracking and thermal shock. It is therefore particularly suitable for salt-glazing and reduction firing. Fired Colour - White to off-white. Earthstone Smooth Textured body is a particularly versatile clay, suitable for modelling, handbuilding. Carefully graded and blended molochite gives this clay superb handling qualities. This clay is highly recommended for raku, salt-firing and reduction. This clay has a low thermal expansion and good resitance to warping, cracking and thermal shock.
