1000 - SWAN BLEND

Maturing Range: 1060-1200°C (Cone 04-5)

Pack Size: 12.5kg

Highly plastic blend of Etruria Marls giving a good colour and high fired strength. As 1020 Rocco Red but with a 10% addition of sand, making this body especially good for throwing and hand-building.

1020 - ROCCO RED

Maturing Range: 1020-1180°C (Cone 05-4)

Pack Size: 12.5kg

As 1000 Swan Blend but without the sand content. A good general purpose red clay, very popular in schools due to its price and plastic characteristics. For larger thrown work choose Swan Blend.

1090 - RED MARL TERRACOTTA

Maturing Range: 1060-1220°C (Cone 04-6)

Pack Size: 12.5kg

A blend of red marls with a 20% grog addition to provide “tooth”. A excellent body for slab-building and outdoor pots. Produces good resilience in frost conditions.

1095 - TERRACOTTA CRANK

Maturing Range: 1080-1220°C (Cone 03-6)

Pack Size: 12.5kg

Terracotta Crank allows you to create large sculptural pieces without the risk of lime popping, commonly associated with grogged reds. A beautifully textured, richly coloured clay, this body combines the warmth and excellent working properties of a red clay with the strength of a crank, resulting in an exceptional handbuilding body. Exceptionally warp and crack resistant.
